Amitabh Bachchan is a very big personality in India. It was quite evident when he had a near-to fatal accident on the sets of Coolie. Thousands thronged outside the hospital where he was admitted then. At that time, the actor was at the peak of his glory. But when hundreds of fans and media people gathered outside Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital to get a glimpse of the “Piku” actor, it proved once again that Mr.Bachchan continues to attract the same level of fan following that he did more than two decades ago.
Amitabh Bachchan’s Car Almost Knocked A Videographer
Recently, the superstar was admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai for cough and cold. It is a known fact that he has a very serious liver problem which is why even a slightest of health problem has to be treated very carefully. Many fans gathered outside the Hospital as they expected that Mr. Bachchan will be discharged on a Friday night.
So when the Shahenshah of Bollywood finally was discharged around 9:45 pm and was going home in his car an incident occurred that could have well become quite serious had Abhishek Bachchan not yelled out loudly. Just as fans, host of paparazzi were also crowded outside the hospital and were desperate to get photographs of senior Bachchan coming out and going in his Range Rover.
An eye witness said, “Abhishek Bachchan was seated next to the driver while Jaya Ji was in the rear seat with Amit Ji. That’s when a photographer as well as a videographer, in their zeal to get some good frontal visuals of them, came right in front of the moving vehicle and were almost knocked down. Had it not been for Abhishek, who yelled loudly and had the driver slow down, one of the two would have certainly met with an accident. That was the last thing that the Bachchans would have wanted.”
This incidence worried and disturbed Amitabh Bachchan who even asked the media and fans not to break the code of professionalism.
