Bhubaneswar: Repolling will be held in nine booths including six in Niali Assembly segment of Cuttack district on April 25.
Similarly, one booth each under Ghasipura, Telkoi and Aul Assembly seats would go for repolling tomorrow.
The fresh polling will be conducted between 7am and 5pm.
Polling in these booths were disrupted due to violence and alleged rigging during the second and last phase polls on April 17.
“To avoid recurrence of any unpleasant situation, we will keep a strict vigil on the booths that going to be repolled tomorrow,” said Naba Kumar Nayak, nodal officer, CEO office.
Micro observers, selected and experienced presiding officers and polling parties will be handed over the duty. Besides, video cameras and web casting would be utilized in these sensitive booths, added Nayak.
Tight security arrangements have been done for the repolling at these booths especially in Niali Assembly seat.
“In every booth one inspector, 2 sub-inspectors and one section force will stationed. Six DSPs and Additional SP have also been given the charge to monitor these booths and will be on the patrolling duty,” said Guru Das Kundu, SP (rural) Cuttack.
