Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last seen in “Fanney Khan” opposite Rajkummar Rao and Anil Kapoor released in 2018. The movie could not do much at the box-office. Despite not having a single release in 2019, the former “Miss World” continued to be in the limelight, either for her appearances at the Cannes Film Festival, her vacations with hubby Abhishek and daughter Aaradhya and for many other reasons. But she was conspicuously absent during all the rituals and prayer meet of Ritu Nanda who was the mother-in-law of Shweta Bachchan Nanda.
Everyone is well aware that the equation between Aishwarya and Shweta has not been very smooth for the last couple of years. And it has been quite evident as the two women even shy away from posing side by side in a photograph.
Last year both Shweta and Aishwarya shared photographs of Rakhi celebrations in the Bachchan House. But there was not a single photograph of Aishwarya and Shweta showing a close bonding.
Where Is Aishwarya?
Ritu Nanda who recently passed away was the daughter of the famous director, producer, and actor Raj Kapoor and was married to Rajan Nanda. As per reports, Ritu was struggling with cancer for the last seven years. As the news of her death came the veterans from the Kapoor family and the entire Bachchan family flew to Delhi where Ritu Nanda and her son Nikhil Nanda lived.
The pictures of the Bachchans and Kapoors attending the funeral and the prayer meet surfaced within a couple of hours on the internet. But no one could see Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in them. However, a report says that the “Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam” actress had flown to Delhi with her family members and was very much there to support Shweta.
But she went back immediately to Mumbai to be with her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan while her entire family stayed in Delhi to support Shweta, Nikhil and their children Agastya and Navya Naveli.
