A Deepika fan page recently took the internet by storm, sharing AI-generated images that re-cast the beloved characters in a fresh, modern light. Ranbir Kapoor dons the role of Rahul, while Deepika Padukone takes on the role of Tina. A tender moment between the two shows them tugging on a friendship bracelet, a nod to the movie's iconic theme of relationships. Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is seen embodying Anjali, gazing longingly at Rahul. In another AI-created scene, Ranveer Singh makes a charming cameo as Aman, originally played by Salman Khan.

Karan Johar’s Dream Cast

In a recent podcast appearance, Karan Johar shared his own thoughts on casting a potential Kuch Kuch Hota Hai remake. He envisioned Ranveer Singh as Rahul, Alia Bhatt as Anjali, and Ananya Panday or even Sara Ali Khan as Tina. Karan playfully acknowledged the star kids’ legacy while discussing his dream casting choices. Yet, he also reflected on the film’s flaws.

Looking back at the film, Karan admitted that some aspects of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai were problematic. He confessed to feeling ‘cringy’ about the gender dynamics portrayed in the movie. Specifically, he mentioned how Rahul’s affection for Anjali seemed to be tied to her long hair, a critique brought up by veteran actress Shabana Azmi. Acknowledging the issue, Karan apologized for not understanding its implications at the time.
