Mumbai: Clearing the air over whether the Bachchan family would attend the 12th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards this year, Abhishek Bachchan on Friday said he and his wife Aishwarya won`t be flying to Toronto for the event.

"Just to clarify... Neither Aishwarya nor I will be performing or attending IIFA Toronto. Classic case of jumping the gun!" Abhishek said on micro-blogging site Twitter.

There was a buzz in B-town that due to some issues between the organisers and Abhishek`s father, Amitabh Bachchan last year, the Big B decided not to be a part of the awards function.

Amitabh, who had been the brand ambassador of IIFA awards since its inception in 2000, tweeted in January this year, "Not coming to Toronto IIFA... IIFA says my services are not required.
