The Supreme Court's order to suspend engineering degrees of 30,000 students from 4 deemed-to-be Universities came as a shocker for students across the country.

However, there’s a good news that the students can save their degree/diploma by passing a test which will be conducted by AICTE/UGC in 2018.

As per the order of the apex court, the engineering degrees of students enrolled with 4 deemed-to-be universities during the academic years 2001-2005 shall remain suspended until they pass an examination that will be organised jointly by AICTE and UGC.

The universities are - JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, Rajasthan; Allahabad Agricultural Institute, (AAI); Advanced Studies in Education, Rajasthan (IASE) and Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation, Tamil Nadu, (VMRF).

So, Diploma, P.G. Diploma/Degree, M.E./M.Tech in Engineering students from the above mentioned universities enrolled during the said period, must register with AICTE to appear for the exam and practical papers.
