The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has extended the last date for submission of online application for the Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2018.
The Commission said in a release on Wednesday that it has extended the last date till September 30, 2018, in view of difficulties faced by some candidates in applying online for the examination.
In a release the SSC said, “The Commission has hosted this application on its new website, and that during the initial few days, there were some teething problems, wherein it was observed that the new website of the Commission was running slow, consequent to which some candidates reported inconvenience in submitting their online application forms. Therefore, keeping in view the difficulties faced by some candidates, the Competent Authority, has, in the overall interest of the candidates, decided to extend the closing date for filling up of online application forms for the said examination from 17-09-2018 to 30-09-2018 (5.00 PM).”
The SSC also extended the last date for examination fee payment made through e-challan. Candidates, who are applying on September 30, can make the payment to the designated branches of SBI using the e-challan, within the working hours of the bank up to October 3, 2018.
Earlier, the last date for submission of the application for the online application for examination was September 17, 2018.
Applicants of Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2018 may please note that the process of submitting applications for the said recruitment examination consists of the following two parts: (i)One-Time Registration (ii)Filling of online Application Form.
The Commission had provided both these facilities on its new website w.e.f. July 25, 2018, but because of a very heavy load of applications, the new website of the Commission had become very slow, for which reason, it was temporarily withdrawn by the Commission.
However, while withdrawing these facilities, the Commission had informed all candidates that both the facilities i.e. One-Time Registration and filling of online Application Forms would be resumed on the Commission’s website w.e.f. August 17, 2018 at 10 AM and the last date for receipt of applications would be September 17, 2018 till 5 PM. This position is maintained by the Commission.
In the meantime, the Commission has for the convenience of the candidates resumed the facility of One-Time Registration, on its website.e. www.ssc.nic.in w.e.f. August 14, 2018, wherein candidates can start registering themselves as per procedure given vide Notice dated July 22, 2018.
