New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Indian Railway’s exam conducting body, Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is likely to push the exam dates for the Group D and APL & Technician.

Times Now had earlier reported citing sources that there could be a further delay likely in the announcement of the exam dates- to late June or early July.

As per reports, owing to the huge number of applications being received by the board, the RRB is mulling to effect the delay. The board is meanwhile expected to release the exam dates and then the admit cards for the examinations by June.

Here’s the detail of some railway exams that are on the cards:

Exam Pattern for Railway Group D

Two-stage exam –

(i) CBT (Computer Based Test): 100 questions in total and time limit will be 90 minutes. Questions will be asked from Mathematics, Generala Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science and General Awareness on Current Affairs.

(ii) PET (Passing Physical Efficiency Test)

Male candidates need to to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down; and be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in 1 chance.

Female candidates need to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down

2) Should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in 1 chance

Admit cards and results for the same will be released on the official website only.
