OSSC recruitments for junior assistants, clerks soon

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) will shortly invite online application from  eligible candidates for the posts of junior assistants, junior clerks and junior accountant in various departments of State government.

An indicative advertisement for the recruitment was released by the Commission asking candidates interested to remain in touch with the official website of the Commission - www.ossc.gov.in for detailed notification.

The mode of application is on-line only  and no hard copy  is required to be sent to the Commission.

Scale of Pay: The appointment to these posts will be initially on contractual basis carrying a consolidated initial pay of Rs 5,200 with the grade pay of Rs 1900 for junior assistants and junior clerks and Rs 5200 with grade of Rs 2400 for junior accountants in the scale of Rs 5200 to Rs 20,200 subject to revision by the State government.

Candidates who have passed the bachelor's degree in any discipline with basic computer knowledge are eligible for junior assistant and junior clerk posts. Similarly, candidates must have passed +2 with computer skills to apply for junior accountant posts.

There will be four rounds of tests including preliminary examination, main written, computer practical test and certificate verification.

The candidates will have to pay examination fee of Rs 100 through treasury chalan which is non-refundable. However, SC, ST and PwD category candidates have been exempted from fee.

The OSSC will be recruiting for 19 junior assistant posts, 75 junior clerk posts and one junior accountant post.
