OPSC Recruitment 2017: Apply for 2173 Medical Officer (Assistant Surgeon) posts

Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released notification for the recruitment of 2173 Medical Officr (Asesistant Surgeon) under the Health and Family Welfare Department.

Interested candidates can apply before January 17, 2018.

1. General - 1062 posts

2. SC - 445 posts

3. ST - 666 posts

Eligibility

Candidates need to have MBBS or equivalent degree from a Medical College or Medical Institution recognized by Medical council of India. Besides, applicants must be within 21 to 32 years of age as on January 1, 2017.

Salary

The selected candidates’ salary: Rs 15600-39100 plus grade pay 5400 per month.

Application fee for OPSC Recruitment

General and OBC candidates will have to shell out Rs 300. Meanwhile, no fee is required for SC/ ST/ Pwd candidates of Odisha. The fees should be paid through Challan at any branch of SBI.

Selection Process

The selection of the candidates will be purely based on performance in written test and career marking. The written exam will be held at Cuttack.

Note: The submission of online application will start from December 19, 2017.

Besides, OPSC has released notification for the recruitment of 65 Assistant Agriculture Officer for SC category in class-II (Group-B) under Agriculture & Farmers Empowerment Department.

Interested candidates can apply online till December 18, 2017.

To apply against the vacancies, candidates need to be within 21 to 32 years of age as on January 1, 2017. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules.
