In what could be a huge opportunity for the aspirants awaiting a job in the postal sector, the India Postal circle has invited applications in the prescribed format from meritorious Sportspersons for filling of vacancies of Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant under Sports Quota. Interested and eligible candidates should note that the last date for application is September 4, 2018.
The details of the recruitment including eligibility criteria, educational qualification, age limit, how to apply are given below:
Age Limit: Applicants age should be between 18 and 27 years. However, the age limit is relaxable for meritorious sportspersons up to a maximum of 5 years (10 years in the case of those belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, 8 years in the case of Other Backward Castes) for the purpose of appointment.
Note:- The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for booking of Applications i.e. September 04, 2018.
Educational qualification: The candidate must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University for direct recruitment from open market.
Scale of pay: Pay scale of Level4 in pay Matrix as per 7th CPC pay scale corresponding to Pay Band : Rs 5,200 -20,200 with Grade Pay of Rs 2,400 plus allowances as admissible.
Cost of prospectus - cum - Application form: Prospectus containing eligibility conditions, recruitment procedure, prescribed application form and instructions thereof can be obtained from selected Post Offices as per list in the enclosed Annexure, on payment of Rs. 100 by cash at the concerned post office counter . The sale commenced on August 06, 2018 and last date for sale closes on September 04, 2018. There will be no sale after 2 PM on September 04, 2018.
How to Apply: Carefully read the application and follow the instructions given in Prospectus-cum -application form in filling the same. The applications which do not conform to the conditions are liable to be rejected summarily.
Mode of dispatch: The Applications duly filled in along with original receipt of UCR/MPCM of Rs 100 (Cost of application form) issued by post office of this circle have to be sent to the (The chief Postmaster General, west Bengal circle, Yogayog Bhawan, Kolkata-700012" through SPEED POST of India post only. The applications received through Courier or delivered in person will not be accepted.
Application duly completed along with attested copies of the certificates should be booked on or before September 4, 2018 along with mentioning the name of the Division / Unit for which the applicant wants to apply' by Speed Post only.
The cover containing the application should be superscripted in block letter as follows: "APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT TO THE POST OF POSTAL ASSISTANT/SORTING ASSISTANT UNDER 'SPORTS QUOTA' lN < Name of the Divisions / Unit >"
