IGNOU Admissions 2020: Application Submission Begins; Know Entrance Date & More

Admission process to the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has begun. IGNOU has invited online application from interested and eligible candidates for admissions to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme for the batch commencing in January 2020.

IGNOW has also announced the date for the entrance exam for the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme - November 9, 2019.

Meanwhile, applications can be submitted till October 10, 2019. Candidates can visit the website, https://ignounursing.samarth.edu.in/, and complete the online application process.

Candidates will have to pay an examination fee of Rs 1000 via credit Card, debit Card or through net banking.

NOTE: There is no age bar for admissions to the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Programme.

Eligibility to Apply for the Programme

Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with 2-year minimum experience in the profession is required for 'In-service Nurses- registered nurses and registered midwives (RNRM) having 10+2 with three years. (For male nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM programme should have a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 months, duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery).

In-service Nurses (RNRM) having 10th class or its equivalent with 3-year, Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with minimum experience of 5 years in the profession. (For male nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM programme should have a certificate in any of the nursing courses of 6-9 month, duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery).
