New Delhi: The Defence Research and Development Organisation’s Combat Vehicle Research and Development Establishment has invited application for selection of Ex-ITI candidates for 146 posts for training under the Apprentices Act 1961.

As per a notification issued by the DRDO, candidates should have passed out from an institute recognised by National Council on Vocational Training (NCVT) with course duration of two years. However, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant and Welder (G & E) trade applicants should possess one year ITI certificate recognised by NCVT.

The posts for apprentice training include Auto Electrician, Carpenter, Computer Operator and Programming Assistant, Draughts Man (Mechanical), Electrician, Fitter, Machinist, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Turner, and Welder (G&E).

Apprentice Training Duration

For Carpenter: 2 years

For other Trades: 1 year.

How to apply

Candidates can visit https://rac.gov.in and apply online for registration of this apprentice training. They have to pay registration fee of Rs 30 through online.

However, candidates belonging to SC/ST, OBC Non-creamy layer and Physically Handicapped/Physically Challenged are exempted from the payment.

Only on-line registered candidates will be invited for the Interview.

Candidates with higher qualifications are not eligible to apply.

Mode of Selection

Candidates will be selected on basis of their performance during personal interview.

At the time of interview, candidates will have to produce original certificates, photo ID proof, address proof and other relevant certificates along with one set of photocopy and printout of on-line application.
