CGL deadline extended: OSSC pushes registration and application deadlines by 10 days

In a significant development for aspirants of the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination, the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) on Friday announced the extension of the last date of registration and submission of online application forms. 

The move comes hours after the OSSC website faced technical glitches, leaving thousands of candidates unable to complete their applications and creating widespread concern.

Deadline Extended By 10 Days

According to the new notification, the deadline for online registration and payment of examination fees, originally scheduled for 18th January 2026, has now been extended by 10 days to 28th January 2026. Similarly, the final date for submitting the online application form, which was earlier 21st January 2026, has been pushed to 31st January 2026.

Candidates are reminded that applications can only be submitted through the official OSSC portal at www.ossc.gov.in, and no physical or hard copy submissions will be accepted.

The extension provides candidates with additional time to complete their applications and strategise their preparation for the examination. Authorities have urged aspirants to regularly monitor the official OSSC website and authorised communication channels for updates regarding tier-wise examination schedules, admit card releases, examination centres, and other crucial instructions.

OSSC officials emphasised that all notifications and announcements related to the CGL examination will be issued exclusively through official platforms, cautioning candidates against relying on unverified sources.
