Bhubaneswar: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a notification for the registration of Class IX and XI regular students for the academic session 2018-19.

All affiliated schools are required to register themselves before proceeding for online registration of their students. For classes IX/XI, schools are advised to offer only those subjects which have been permitted to them by the Board, the release read.

The circular also stated that, in case, school sponsors students in subject(s) other than those permitted by the Board, it may lead to action against the school, in addition to cancellation of candidature of such students.

While the Board has set Rs 150 as the registration fee per student, it is extending several exemptions/concessions to candidates with disabilities as defined in the "The Rights of Persons With Disabilities Act 2016."

The schedule for Online Registration of Students is from October 1 to October 22, which is without late fee. However, there will be a late fee of Rs 500 for registration from October 23 to October 30.

Similarly, Rs 1000, Rs 2000 and Rs 5000 for registration from October 31 to November 12, November 13 to November 20 and November 21 to November 28, respectively.
