New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Amid rumours and confusions over the syllabus and eligibility criteria, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the notification for the NEET UG 2018.
The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to undergraduate medical programmes has been scheduled for May 6, 2018. The deadline to submit the application form along with fees is March 9.
Meanwhile, here's the detail of the eligibility for the NEET 2018:
Educational Qualification
Candidates applying should have passed class 12 or equivalent exam with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology individually. Besides, a minimum of 50 per cent marks secured together in physics, chemistry and biology/bio-technology at the qualifying examination is needed.
Age limit
Candidates applying must not be less than 17 years and more than 25 years of age. For SC/ ST/ OBC category candidates, there is an age relaxation of 5 years.

Important to Note
One needs to apply and register using Aadhaar enrolment number.
One who is appearing for class 12 exams this year and if fails to qualify it with the required pass percentage at the time of first round of counselling will not be eligible to get admission.
