The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has brought some changes in the English (core) question paper for Class 12 exams which will be conducted in 2019.

CBSE has made the revision on the basis of feedback received from the various stakeholders and subsequent deliberation in the Committee of Courses of the Board and subject experts' meeting.

According to The Indian Express, the new English paper will have two passages in Section A (Reading), which used to have three passages.

Besides, the typology of questions have also been revised. Now, students will attend five multiple choice questions (MCQs), nine very short answer type, and three short answer type from passage 1 and two long answer type questions from passage 2.

Moreover,  now 19 questions will be there in Section A instead of 24; so the total here now reduced to 35 from 40.
