Bhubaneswar: A day ahead of the Class 12 board exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), students have been advised to follow some instructions for smooth conduct of the exam.

The board has asked students to report at the examination centres before 10 am on exam days. For security reasons, students have been asked to wear uniforms during the examination. They have been strictly asked not to appear at the test centre wearing casual dress.

Candidates are required to carry admit cards with them to the exam hall, failing which they will not be permitted to appear for the examination. Each exam hall will have seating arrangement for 24 students and without instructions, they will not be allowed to move.

Besides, the board has decided not to allow students to carry old question papers along with them.

With an aim to check malpractices and paper leak, the CBSE has introduced geo-tagging, time-based tracking and live web streaming from examination centres.

While the Class 12 Board exams will start from February 15, Class 10 will commence from February 21.

According to a report of ANI, a total of 18,27,472 students will appear for CBSE Class 10 Board exam- 10,70,579 boys, 7,56,893 girls and 22 transgenders. Similarly, 12,87,359 students will appear for CBSE Class 12 Board exam- 7,48,498 boys, 5,38,861 girls and 6 transgenders.
