New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: The Indian Railway is coming up with a series of opportunities for the candidates preparing for government jobs. The South Western Railway has released a notification for the recruitment of candidates under various posts candidates who have passed the class 12 examination.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply before the deadline. The last date to apply for the various posts is February 12, 2018.
Age limit/Pay Scale
Candidates applying must be between 18-25 years of age January 1, 2018.
The recruitment of the candidates will be done under the pay scale of Rs 5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs 1900/2000/- in 7th Central Pay Commission.
Educational Qualification
Candidates with 12th class pass certificate can apply against the 21 vacant posts.
Examination Fees
Candidates will have to shell out Rs 500 as exam fees. However, candidates applying under reserved categories will have to pay Rs 250.
Selection Process
The selection of the candidates will be done purely on the basis of their performance in trials, sports achievements, educational qualification and personality test.
Other Eligibility Criteria
A candidate applying must have represented country in the Olympic Games (Sr. Category)/ represented the country in the International championships/events either in World Cup (Jr./Sr. Category)/World Championships (Jr./Sr. Category)/Asian Games (Sr.Category)/Commonwealth Games (Sr. Category).
Candidates who have obtained at least 3rd position in Commonwealth Championships (Jr./Sr. Category)/Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Jr./Sr. Category)/South Asian Federations (SAF) Games(Sr. Category)/USIC (World Railways) Championships (Sr. Category) can also apply.
Besides, a government job aspirant who has secured at least 3rd position in Sr./Youth/Jr. National Championships/ 3rd position in National Games under aegis of Indian Olympic Association/ 3rd position in National Games under aegis of Indian Olympic Association can apply.
