Salman Khan is currently facing a dip in his career. While there have been ups and downs in his long career of more than three decades, he always found a way to bounce back after a few flops. But this rough patch that Bhaijan is in currently seems never-ending because most of his movies in the last five years have performed badly at the box office.
From Tubelight, Race 3, Dabangg 3, Antim, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, and now Sikandar, none of these movies could be called blockbusters. The leading trade analyst Komal Nahta recently said that Salman Khan can bounce back, but for that, he will have to change a lot of things, including making efforts, saying dialogues, selecting the right scripts, and stopping interference in every other department of production except acting.
Salman Khan’s wrong decisions have put his career in jeopardy?
Years before when Salman Khan was at the peak of his career and Reshma Shetty was handling his portfolio, things were going great guns for the Bollywood superstar. It was the time when he delivered back-to-back hits with Sultan and Ek Tha Tiger.
Post Tiger Zinda Hai, Aditya Chopra had offered Salman Khan Dhoom 4. But the superstar refused. Next, he was also offered a period film with none other than Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Bharat with Rajkumar Hirani. While Salman rejected Bhansali movie instead of doing Bharat with Hirani he produced it under his own banner. The movie was a big disaster.
Even SS Rajamouli had offered him Makkhi 2. Reshma Shetty had also started a discussion with Pushpa-fame director Sukumar for a new project. So Salman Khan was being offered the lineup of the decade but instead of saying yes to these movies he simply fired Reshma. There are rumours that he was also offered a biopic on Rakesh Sharma and a movie that later on went to Aamir Khan .

It was Reshma Shetty who contributed hugely towards making Salman Khan a mass hero and because of her, he could crack the biggest television deal of Bigg Boss.
Salman Khan will have to cut down his prices
Wrong choices have now put Salman Khan at a stage where he will be forced to cut down his fees. He was in discussion for two movies with Southern production houses. But both these films were shelved because the Bollywood superstar today cannot guarantee the huge revenue in return that he once did. Moreover, he is rumoured to be charging 100 crore plus as a fee which puts big pressure on the budget.
