Kolkata: The Primary Education Board will allow candidates who have completed two year teachers' training programme and secured at least 50 per cent marks in Higher Secondary examination for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) in state-aided primary schools in West Bengal.

Education minister Partha Chatterjee told reporters here, "I have urged the Primary Education Board to issue a notification after the Board office opens on October 9 stipulating the two conditions as per the guidelines mentioned by the Department of School Education, Government of West Bengal."
