The India government has permitted the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to host the IPL match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) match at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Thursday.
However, it has been learnt that the match scheduled on May 11 has been shifted from Dharmsala to Mumbai, and the new date for the match will be updated soon.
"BCCI gets clearance from the government to host tomorrow's match in Dharamshala, but the May 11 match shifted to Mumbai from Dharmshala, the fresh date for the match will be updated soon," a BCCI source informed.
The development came amid a looming threat amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.
PBKS' counter against Mumbai Indians was changed as the airlines have cancelled their flight operations in 11 cities across north, northwestern and central India till May 10 which include Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Gwalior, Kishangarh, and Rajkot.

Dharamsala, which is due to host the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals clash on Thursday, has one more match left on schedule - the May 11 game between Punjab and Mumbai Indians.
For Thursday's game, both teams have touched base. However, the usage of floodlights in the evening match was a security issue given the tense situation and could have a bearing on whether the match goes ahead as scheduled.
India carried out precision strikes on nine locations in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 people, mostly tourists, were murdered.
At least 18 airports in the northern and western parts of the country have been temporarily shut owing to the military escalation. Chandigarh, which is the nearest alternate airport for Dharamsala, is among those shut down for operations right now.
