Youth's body recovered from pond in Khurda; murder suspected

Khurda: Tension prevailed in Khurda after body of a youth was found floating in a pond at Jamala village under Bolagarh police limits today. The deceased, identified as Uttam Sahu, hails from Japur district and was working as a mechanic in a garage at Rajsunakhala in Khurda.

According to reports, locals spotted the mutilated body of the youth floating in the pond and informed the police. Bolgarh police along with fire service personnel reached the spot and fished out Sahu's body.

It is suspected that Sahu has been murdered as his body carried injury marks. Though the exact cause of death is still unclear, the body has been sent for post mortem and further investigation is on, police said.
