Youth murdered over 'past enmity' in Nayagarh

Nayagarh: Panic gripped Sorada village under Nuagaon tehsil of Nayagarh district after a man was found dead near his house early morning today. The deceased, identified as Krushna Chandra Rout, was working as a cook in a hotel in Daspalla.

As per the allegations of his family members, Rout left for home after finishing his work in the hotel yesterday when he was attacked with a sharp weapon.

This morning, after finding his body lying in a pool of blood nearby their house, Rout's family members filed a complaint with the police against their neighbours holding them responsible for the murder.

Based on the allegations, police recovered the body and initiated an investigation into the incident. "The body has been sent for post-mortem. An investigation is currently underway and further probe will be based on the post-mortem report," said a police official.
