Woman stripped, paraded naked in Odisha

Bolangir: A mob allegedly stripped a woman, tonsured and paraded her naked around Karakachia village near Loisingha of Bolangir district suspecting her of indulging in immoral acts.

As per reports, four persons of the village had allegedly used filthy language against the woman on June 3 following which the matter was resolved in a village meeting.

However later on the same night, some men and women of the village broke into the victim's house, shaved her head and paraded her naked along the village street in full view of the public.

Later on June 6, the woman lodged an FIR at the Loisingha police station.

"We have started investigation based on the complaint filed by the woman. The guilty will not be spared," said a police official.
