As per sources, deceased Tuna Besra had a heated argument with his wife Champa last evening. The quarrel soon took an ugly turn when Champa, in a fit of rage, knocked down Tuna with a stone. Injured Kuna also thrashed her back.

Soon after the incident, the two were rushed to Kaptipada hospital by some villagers where Tuna succumbed to his injuries.

Champa, who is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital, said, “I returned from market and was taking a nap when he (Tuna) came and started beating me up for no reason. I lost temper too and hit him back with a stone.”

“There was nothing serious behind the fight. He just kept fighting and beating me up because I went to the market without his permission,” she added.
