Two women from West Bengal gang raped in Balasore

Balasore: Two women hailing from Digha in West Bengal were allegedly gang raped in a private guest house under Talasari Marine police limits in Balasore district on Tuesday. Reportedly, three miscreants brought the two women to the guest house and allegedly gang raped them. Following the incident, owner and staff of the guest house have been absconding.

The matter came to fore after a few locals spotted the duo crying outside the guest house this morning and informed police about it.

A team of police reached the guest house and began a probe. "After receiving the information, we reached here and rescued the two women. When inquired, they could not tell their address. They do not even know the names of the persons with whom they reached here," said Tushil Majhi, IIC, Talasari Marine police station.

Meanwhile, it has been alleged that the police were informed about the illegal flesh trade at the Subhadra Guest House earlier, however, no action was taken to curb them.
