Balasore: The Soro Police today arrested two highway robbers from Chaparpada overbridge on National Highway-16 in the district today. The duo has been identified as Niranjan Das of Inchudi village and Naveen Das of Mulisingh village of Balasore.

Police sources said the Niranjan and Naveen used to loot the commuters after attacking them with sharp weapons.

Acting on a tip-off, police nabbed them today and seized an Indica car along with iron rods and sharp weapons from their possession, added sources.

"The two robbers have been arrested and forwarded to court. Further investigation in underway," said a police official.
