Sex racket busted in Choudwar, Three arrested

Cuttack: Police on Wednesday raided a farm house in Ward no 14 of the Choudwar Municipality in the district and arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in a sex racket. A woman was also detained in connection with the case.

The arrested persons have been identified as Bharat Nepal of Choudwar, Siba Prasad Swain of Tangi and care taker of the farm house Harekrushna Rout.

According to reports, the owner of the farm house had lodged a complaint at the Choudwar police station on Tuesday about the illegal flesh trade. On basis of the complaint, police raided the farm house and arrested three persons and rescued the woman with the help of locals. Meanwhile, two persons managed to escape during the raid.

Police also seized three motorcycles, Rs 2,300 cash, mobile phones and a few other objectionable items.

Sources said further investigation into the incident is on.
