Robbers flee with cash, valuables from house in 2 hours in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Robbers decamped with cash, gold ornaments and other valuables from a house at in Beramunda area on Monday. The thieves made away with the valuables when the owner was not present in the house.

According to reports, Alok Jena had moved out of his house at around 11:30 AM and to his surprise found the main door open when he returned at 1:30 PM.

Sources said Jena was staying alone as his wife and children were staying with his in-laws for the last four to five months.

“I think some known person who was fully aware I was staying alone is behind the robbery,” said Jena.

According to Jena, the robbers have decamped with cash, some ornaments, a laptop and hard disk. Meanwhile, Khandagiri Police have started investigation after Jena filed a written complaint in connection with the incident.
