Rishi death case: Commissionerate police conducts polygraph test on friend
Bhubaneswar: With mystery still shrouding the death of Rishi, Commissionerate police on Thursday conducted a polygraph test on one of the friends of the deceased to ascertain the veracity of the allegations and statements.
According to reports, Rishi’s friend, Sourav Nanda, underwent the polygraph test at the State Forensic Lab here today.
Rishi alias Asutosh Mohanty, B.Tech student of city based ITER College died under mysterious circumstances at one of his relative’s house in Nuagaon under Dhauli police limits in Jagamara in May last year.
Sourav is reportedly said to have been present in the room along with Rishi when the incident occurred late on May 5 last year.
Earlier, police had recorded the statements of Sourav and several other persons might also be subjected to undergo lie-detection test in coming days.
The lie detection test assumes significance keeping in view allegations of involvement of several high profile individuals in the case.
Earlier, several opposition parties had alleged that the mayor was linked to the mysterious death of engineering student as he knew about a purported sex video for which he was allegedly murdered.
