Cuttack: The ‘psycho killer’, who is suspected to be behind three brutal murders in Cuttack city, allegedly attacked another woman with a sharp weapon last night at Mala Sahi in Jobra area.

As per reports, the woman was standing in front of her house when a masked man attacked her with a knife. However, the attacker, believed to be the same 'psycho killer' behind 3 recent murders, fled the spot injuring the woman before locals gathered hearing the screams.

The woman was then rushed to the SCB Medical College and Hospital for treatment and her condition is reportedly stable now. However, panicked locals patrolled the streets carrying sticks to guard the area and apprehend the attacker.

"The man was standing in front of my house and had covered his face. When I asked his identity, he attacked and fled," said Sandhya Tarei, the injured woman.

Police have already formed special teams to nab the accused. Besides, checking has been intensified in the region. Moreover, Government Railway Police (GRP) has also undertaken special measures for the protection of homeless under its jurisdiction.
