Patrapada bombing case: Prime accused held, two others absconding
Bhubaneswar: In a major breakthrough, Mancheswar police today nabbed Babu Nayak, the prime accused in Patrapada bombing case in Bhubaneswar. According to reports, three ‘unidentified’ miscreants had lobbed bombs at multiple locations in Patrapada slum on December 19, 2018.
According to sources, the entire act was captured in CCTV cameras and basing on footage police team managed to nab Babu Nayak for his alleged involvement in the case. Two more accused in the case are still absconding.
Babu along with his two associates had hurled bombs at the house of a local resident in Patrapada area last year over some dispute, sources said.
Based on the CCTV footage, police had launched a man-hunt to nab the miscreants involved in the bombing case.
Meanwhile, the prime accused Babu is being interrogated while efforts are on to ascertain the exact motive behind the bombings, police said.
