Bhubaneswar: Four days after busting a high-profile sex racket running at the H2O Spa centre in Bapuji Nagar area in Bhubaneswar, the Commissionerate Police today busted another prostitution racket running at a Spa centre in Nayapalli area here.

Acting a tip-off, police raided the spa centre reportedly running from a rented house and rescued three women. This apart, police have arrested three persons including the owner of the house.

“Flesh trade in the guise of a massage parlour was running from the rented house. Further investigation into the matter is on,” said a police official.

On May 20, eight Thai women along with seven others were held by police after a raid at the H2O Spa.

These are not the only instances where the Commissionerate police has unearthed sex rackets operating from beauty parlours and similar units in the Capital city.

In November last year, the Commissionerate Police had raided another massage parlour in Nayapalli area and arrested four persons for their alleged involvement in a sex racket. Four women were also rescued by police from the parlour.

Prior to that, three women from Thailand were detained for operating a sex racket in a clandestine manner from a Spa centre in Bhubaneswar.

Similarly, the Capital city police had busted a sex racket operating in the name of a massage parlour in the Railway station area here September 13 last year. Reportedly, four persons including the owner of the house were arrested while three girls from West Bengal who were rescued during the raid were shifted to a short stay home in the city.
