Odisha Youth Kills Father For Mutton Curry

Kendrapara: In a bizarre turn of events, an elderly man was allegedly beaten to death by his son following a family feud over preparing mutton curry. The shocking incident was reported from Gulnagar area under Sadar Police limits of Kendrapara district on Friday.

According to sources, the accused Jagannath Sethi procured meat from the market and asked his family to prepare mutton curry yesterday.

Learning that the mutton curry was not prepared as per his wish, an infuriated Jagannath attacked his father Ghanshyam Sethi with a wooden plank.

Ghanshyam died on the spot while his son Jagannath was subsequently arrested after a complaint was lodged by her mother at the Sadar police station.

Though an investigation is underway, response of senior police officials could not be obtained in connection with the alleged murder.
