Kendrapara: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch Wednesday arrested two brothers and a relative of dreaded gangster Syed Usman Ali alias Tito.

The STF reportedly arrested Tito's brothers - Sayed Asfaq Ali alias G Babu and Sayed Ifteqar Ali alias Chittu, and one of his relatives Munna after conducting a surprise raid at his Dilarpur residence in Kendrapara.

Both G Babu and Chittu had been absconding following the arrest of Tito last year. The trio was taken into custody for interrogation in connection with the gangster's crime syndicate and later arrested by STF.

Several criminal cases including illegal financial transactions, extortion and tender fixing are pending against Tito's brothers, who were declared most wanted by the Odisha Crime Branch, added the sources.

Reportedly, Tito was arrested by the STF following an encounter in Chandikhole area of Jajpur district on June 30, 2018. In the course of investigation, the State Crime Brach officials unearthed his huge empire which he had set up from the ill-gotten money through his crime syndicate and subsequently was able to nab many of his associates.
"A case was registered against a Kendrapara based gang belonging to Syed Usman Ali alias Titto. The gang was engaged in mafia activities, tender fixing and other organised crimes with the help of illegal arms." informed SP of Crime Branch Special Task Force Rahul PR at a presser.
" Earlier the STF had arrested Titto and forwarded him to court. The STF had also submitted preliminary charges. The
STF arrested Tito’s brothers – Sayed Asfaq Ali alias G Babu and Sayed Ifteqar Ali alias Chittu, and one of his relatives Munna alias Amjad Khan. The arrested trio is also involved in criminal activites of the gang led by Titto. The trio is forwarded to court, " Rahul added.
