Mutilated bodies of two youths found in Paradip; murder suspected

Jagatsinghpur: Police recovered mutilated bodies of two youths under mysterious circumstances at Nehru Bangla area of Marine Police station in Paradip on Sunday.

From the given circumstances, it is being suspected that the deceased, who are said to be mentally challenged, were murdered. After the bodies were found near the Police Station, panic gripped locals who raised questions on law and order situation in the Port City.

“We suspect that they have been murdered as their heads have been smashed with stones and bricks. We are frightened by their deaths as the miscreants dared to kill them near the police station,” said a local resident, Abhimanyu Dalai.

Police have initiated an investigation into the matter. “We have sent the bodies to the hospital for post-mortem. The reason behind the deaths will be known only after we get the autopsy report. Further investigation is underway,” informed Pradyumna Kumar Behera, IIC at Marine Police station.
