Miscreants hurl bombs at businessman’s house in Khurda

Khurda: Unidentified miscreants hurled bombs at the house of a businessman at Ward No-18 in Gurujang area of Khurda district on Saturday night. However, the businessman Prakash Routray and his family escaped unhurt in the incident.

According to sources, four bike borne miscreants lobbed three bombs at Routray’s house and fled the spot. As Routray is also actively involved in politics, it is suspected that the incident might be orchestrated by his rival groups.

“After hearing loud noise, I came out of the house and the entire spot was filled with smoke. Later, I managed to see four miscreants on two bikes escaping from the spot,” said Prakash.

Prakash further informed that earlier similar attacks were also carried on his residence at Bajapur while his poclain machine was also torched was also torched by miscreants.

Meanwhile, a complaint has been registered at the Khurda Town police in connection with yesterday’s bombing incident. Police have seized the CCTV footage and started investigation into the incident.
