Man hacks younger brother to death over land dispute in Boudh

Boudh: A man allegedly hacked his younger brother to death over some property dispute at Jiral village under Purunakatak area in Boudh district on Saturday late night. The deceased has been identified as Bibhisan Swain.

According to reports, Bibhisan was attacked by his elder brother Ananda Swain at around 7 pm yesterday. Following the incident, Bibhisan was rushed to Boudh district headquarters hospital (DHH) in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased Bibhisan's daughter, Laxmi Swain has sustained critical injuries in the attack.

"My father was alone in the house when my uncle along with his son and nephew attacked him. They killed my father while my three brothers are in Chennai now, "alleged Laxmi.

On being informed, police rushed to the spot and started investigation. Police have launched a manhunt to nab Ananda, who is absconding after committing the crime.
