Man beaten to death in Dhenkanal; previous enmity suspected

Dhenkanal: A man was allegedly beaten to death by four unidentified miscreants at Govindpur area in Dhenkanal on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Pradeep Mallick.

According to reports, the miscreants forcibly barged into the house and attacked Mallick with wooden planks.

Though the exact reason behind the killing is unclear, it is suspected that the incident could be a fall out of some past rivalry. However, police today intensified probe in connection with the murder case.

""Four men wearing helmets  were involved in the attack. Though I tried to save my brother, they also attacked me " said Dipak, brother of the deceased.
