Man avenges daughter by slitting throat of her mother-in-law

Berhampur: A man allegedly killed the mother-in-law of his deceased daughter at Annapurnasahi under Buguda police limits of Ganjam district on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Kanak Sahu.

According to sources, the daughter of the accused was allegedly killed by her in-laws last year for dowry. Since then, her in-laws were in jail for the crime and recently her mother-in-law released on bail.

In a bid to take revenge of her daughter's murder, the accused (after knowing about the release of the woman from jail) reached Kanak's house and slit her throat with a sharp weapon.

Meanwhile, a complaint has been lodged against the accused father who is reportedly absconding.
