Lady teacher hacked inside classroom in front of students in Odisha

Cuttack: A lady teacher is now battling for life at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack after she was brutally attacked by a person inside her classroom in Niali area on Monday.

As per sources, the victim, Suchismita Muduli was teaching her students at Ambapada ME School when a man barged into the classroom and started attacking her with a sharp weapon.
Sources said, the accused, Bibhuti Mohanty of the same village continued attacking the lady teacher even after she fell down on the floor.

Following the incident, the teacher was first rushed to Niali hospital and was later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in a critical condition.

The villagers caught the accused who was roaming in the village after the incident.

“The accused had come to the school with an intention to attack the students. He later attacked my wife when she tried to stop him after spotting him carrying a sharp weapon,” claimed Muduli’s husband, Saubhagya Mohapatra.

Mohapatra further alleged that the accused had earlier created nuisance in the school.

Though the exact reason behind the attack is still not clear, police have started an investigation by detaining the accused who is being interrogated in connection with the incident.
