Mayurbhanj: A lady teacher has brought misbehaviour and sexual harassment charges against the principal of Lalmohan Sanskrit College in Udala of Mayurbhanj district.

As per the reports, the Principal Kamalakant Behera allegedly misbehaved and tried to outrage the modesty of the lady teacher on the pretext of taking her to the regional office during evaluation of answer sheets in Balasore.

"Initially I had refused to join the evaluation process in Balasore as I did not have any means of transport. The Principal then had asked me to accompany another teacher. Later, instead of taking me to the regional office, the Principal took me to his house and misbehaved with me," the complainant alleged.

The complainant further stated that somehow she managed to escape from the house and narrated the ordeal to her husband and subsequently lodged a police complaint in this connection.

"We decided to lodge a police complaint so that all the wrongdoings of the college Principal are exposed," said husband of the complainant lady teacher.

Meanwhile, senior police officials informed that a case under Indian Penal Code sections-341, 323, 354 a, 354 b and 417 has been registered based on the complaint filed by the teacher.

The college principal could not be contacted for his comments on the allegations levelled by the lady teacher.
