Girl 'Gang Raped' In Forest In Odisha, 3 Arrested

Rourkela: A girl was allegedly gang raped by three youths in a forest under Kuanrmunda Police limits in Sundergarh district. Though the incident occurred on October 29th night, it came to light after the survivor lodged a police complaint yesterday.

As per reports, the survivor was into a relationship with one of the accused and had reportedly gone to meet him along with one of her friends in the forest.

However, the accused along with two of his other friends dragged both the girls into the forest. Though one of the girls managed to escape, the accused caught hold of one and raped her in turns.

Later, all the three accused reportedly dumped the survivor in forest and fled from the spot.

Sources said the survivor was rescued from the forest and admitted to hospital yesterday and a case was registered based on her statements. Her condition is said to be critical.

Police officials informed that all the three accused have been arrested and further investigation in connection with the incident is on.
