Gangster Tito’s Aide Budhia Arrested After Police Encounter In Cuttack

Cuttack: Budhia Das, a wanted criminal and an associate of gangster Tito alias Syed Usman Ali, was nabbed following an encounter with Police in Sector-13 area of CDA in Cuttack late last night.

Das received bullet injuries on right leg and was later admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital for treatment, said reports.

Acting on a tipoff, a team of officials led by Chauliaganj Police Station Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) conducted multiple raids in Sector- 13 area of CDA last night.

In a bid to escape the arrest, Das who was hiding in the area opened fire at the cops. In retaliation, the police also opened fired injuring him on his right leg. Police have also seized a gun and two bullets from his possession.

Sources said as many as 30 cases of murder, firing, bombing and extortion are pending against Das in Cuttack, Kendrapara and other police stations of the State. Das was also reportedly operating Tito’s network in Cuttack.
