Drunk youth beats stepmother to death in Kendrapara

Kendrapara - A youth allegedly killed his stepmother to death with a stone muller over some family dispute at Chakada Gogua village under Tantiapal Police limits in Kendrapara district. The accused, identified as Binod Ghadei alias Saitan has been detained by the cops.

According to reports, Binod picked up a quarrel with his stepmother Binita over dinner yesterday and later smashed her head with a stone muller. The matter came to light after Binita's husband Bijay Ghadei spotted her body lying in a pool of blood today.

Sources said Binod attacked his stepmother when his father Bijay was not present in the house. Villagers alleged that Binod was involved in a number of anti-social activities.

Basing on the complaint filed by Bijay, police have detained Binod and further investigation in this connection is on.
