Jajpur: Dharamsala Police arrested six dacoits while they were allegedly planning a robbery near Deuli hills in the district Tuesday evening.

Soon after foiling their attempt, police confiscated a gun, two live bullets, two bikes, an ATM card and other weapons from their possession.

Police sources informed that several cases are pending against the arrested persons at various police stations.

“They confessed to have gathered in the Jarka Jagannath cloth store to plan the dacoit. On further digging, we found out there are two cases already pending against their names under the Sadar police station. There are many other cases registered against them at various other police stations of the district. They have been court forwarded,” stated officer in-charge of Dharmasala PS, Saroj Kumar Sahu.
