Bhubaneswar: The Crime Branch of Odisha Police on Thursday arrested notorious criminal Madha Khuntia and three of his aides from Bolangir.

Acting on a tip-off, the Special Task Force (STF) personnel of the Crime Branch nabbed the four persons including Khuntia while they were planning to execute dacoity in the town. A gun and sharp weapons were seized from the arrested persons.

Sources said Khuntia has alleged links with gangsters Tito and Haider and several cases including tender fixing are pending against him.

"Khuntia is involved in a total of 137 cases so far," said Himanshu Lal, DIG of Crime Branch STF.
