Country liquor shop salesman found dead; murder suspected

Berhampur: The blood-soaked body of a country liquor shop salesman was found abandoned on roadside near Jagdalpur village under Sadar police limits in Ganjam district today early morning.

The deceased identified as Bijay Dakua of Jagdalpur village was working as a salesman in a nearby country liquor shop.

According to reports, Dakua was returning home from the shop at around 11 pm yesterday when some miscreants attacked him which led to his death on the spot.

Today morning, some locals spotted his body lying in a pool of blood and informed his family members.

Police has launched a probe to nab the assailants. The exact reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained and we can clarify on that only after detail probe, said a police official.
