Cops mum despite 4 obscene videos of girls doing rounds in Bolangir

Bolangir: It seems that all the awareness drives and messages from the Odisha DGP has failed as intimate and obscene video of girls are rampantly being posted on social media across the State.

Surprisingly, four such videos from Bolangir are currently circulating on social media.

In one such case, though an obscene video of a high-school girl from Puintala block has gone viral on social media, local police is yet to swing into action despite the details and identity of the accused is revealed in the video.

In another incident, a video chat between a college girl and her boyfriend is also doing rounds in Bolangir city.

These are not isolated incidents as in another video two youths are seen molesting a girl and forcing her to keep physical relation.

“The entire police administration is silent on such a sensitive issue and no steps are being taken in schools and educational institutions to create awareness,” alleged Dharmendra Nanda, a local resident.

Child Welfare Committee chairperson in Bolangir, Jogeshwar Mohanty stated that as it is completely the responsibility of police to nab the accused involved in such incidents and a letter will be written to senior officials for appropriate action.
